Join MICA and Dr. Wendi El-Amin, Associate Dean for EDI, SIU School of Medicine, for a presentation providing an equity lens on communication.

We will explore inclusive language and the impact of media on communities and people with Dr. Wendi Wills El-Amin, M.D., Associate Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Dr. El-Amin is a Professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine where she provides care at the Center for Family Medicine in Springfield. She is dually appointed to the SIU’s Department of Medical Education where she serves as an academic strategist. She has a passion for addressing health disparities and inequities in healthcare.
